HELLO?

We build massive telecommunication systems.
Develop the internet.
Create social networking systems
and still we often feel as disconnected as ever in our history.
Why is this?
How often do you sit down with someone and have a good old fashion
face to face conversation at length about anything?
When you pass your neighbor do you actually take the time to look at them and say hello?
Are lunchtime conversations about anything other than work the weather or the food?
When was the last time you sent someone a letter?
You know!
Actual paper and a stamp or an email (not text) longer than one paragraph.
When was the last time you read anything?
Read an email that was longer than one paragraph, actually read it?
When was the last time you took the time to tell someone
how much you appreciate what they do or what they did?
When was the last time you filled out the “please let us know how were doing” section
or the “place comments here” area of any communication?
We have become so displaced by our connectedness that we do not even notice.
As Gandhi said. “Be the change you want to see”.
It is up to you to start communicating with others.
Tell them how you feel, tell them what you think, ask them for their opinion,
Offer then your suggestions.
But most of all…
It is up to you to start the conversations you long for.
Namaste’
